In answer to your despatch of 29th. July anticipate no objection
to vote of Legislative Council £100 Carter. If he prefers
appointment of Overseer referred to in my letter of 16th. July
to Crown Agents may be offered to him with salary mentioned
therein plus pension or any future vacancy Inspector Sanitary
Board. If any vacancy occurs Sanitary Surveyor transfer will be
considered but there is no present prospect.
